The Origin of 100 Year Manifesto

A Moment of Clarity in the Midst of Chaos

In 2015, everything I thought was certain fell apart overnight.

A marriage suddenly falling apart. A 10-month-old son in my arms. Choices that nobody else understood—but I did. My family questioned me. My friends questioned me. Even Bonnie Godsman, CEO of GAMA Global, asked me point-blank:

“Mick, what are you doing?”

I didn’t hesitate. “Bonnie, do you not know who I am?”

Because even in the uncertainty, I had clarity. I knew exactly who I was. I had a vision for my life, and I was committed to it—no matter how hard the road ahead.

Standing Firm in Purpose—Even When Everything Fell Apart

The Birth of the 100 Year Manifesto

It was in those moments—when everything was stripped away—that the 100 Year Manifesto was born.  I started asking a question that changed everything:

What truly matters 100 years from now?

Not just next week. Not next year. 100 years from today.

That question became my filter, my compass. It forced me to focus on legacy, impact, and intention—not survival. Not just getting through the day.

I created the first version of my 100 Year Manifesto.

When other people saw it, they immediately wanted one too.

And, I realized: this is what people need. A framework for their life.  Their purpose. Clarity.

I walked away from a successful career in the life insurance industry—a career with security, a known path—to step into an unknown future. It was a bold move, driven by a deep desire to change lives in a different way.

We live in a world obsessed with quick wins and short-term gains. But the people who make the greatest impact—the leaders, the visionaries, the game-changers—are the ones who think beyond themselves.  They boldly live out their purpose.

A Movement, Not Just a Message
